Gift Guide #1: bobo design studio
We’re kicking off this year’s set of gift guides by highlighting some of the local businesses that we’ve come across this year. We’re big on supporting the makers and creators of our community, and what better way to start us off- on Small Biz Saturday no less- than with bobo design studio.
Angie Chua is the owner and creative genius behind bobo design studio. She believes in zero-waste and handcrafts everything in the shop from pins, bags, stickers, and clothing. Even cooler is that Angie also runs various workshops where you can learn various crafts like how to do hand lettering design or how to make jewelry.
We love the whimsical factor of her designs. It reminds us of we should have a life worth living, filled with adventure, fun, love, and hope.
bobo design studio is located at Moment at San Pedro Square in San Jose. If you get a chance, definitely visit Angie and her store manager, Harriet. If you’re unable to do so, her online shop is consistently filled with new product, and her instagram is pretty friggin sweet.
We think gifts from bobo can be for anyone – all the pieces are unique and wearable. I bought the Wanderful sweatshirt for myself and it’s so cozy that I’ve been pretty much living in it. It’s perfect for this up and down California weather.
Check out the rest of the pieces we selected for our bobo design gift guide below. Our list of some of our favorite things are after the photo set. Let us know what your favorite pieces are and if you bought anything too.
Btw, don’t our friends look like they’re about to host SNL? I love it!
