Dream a Little Dream

There’s always something so wonderfully ethereal about Rodarte that deeply connects to me. After viewing their F/W 2016 collection, I feel like I’ve wandered into the great California redwoods where flower crowned tree fairies reside. It’s almost magical, you can say.  Rodarte is big on romance with its mixture of leather, lace, and flowers interweaving in the designs. It’s playful and carefree as patterns and textures dance along the tiered ruffles and asymmetrical hems. The Mulleavy sisters are effin’ cool, and they’ve proven it over the past 10 years. These pieces are beyond clothing. They are works of art…

The Girl Who Fell to Earth

By Mary Ann I February 20, 2016 I

Charlotte Olympia’s A/W 2016 campaign is the collection of my space age dreams.Maybe, I’m still sad over the death of David Bowie, but this collection is definitely an homage to him. By Mary Ann I September 30, 2015 I

Inspired by Bri over at Design Love Fest, I wanted to make a post of my TJ Haul. I also wanted to challenge my husband and myself to see if we are able to make this one last for the week… if not longer. I’ve found that we go to the grocery store a lot, I’d say about 3-4x a week to buy a few items which leads to buying more unexpected treats. I’ve always talked about meal prepping. I’d like to think that I’m a pretty good cook, I just need to actually take some time to prep and make meals…

Style Muse: Solange

By Mary Ann I September 24, 2015 I

instagram.com One of my visions for this website is to give it a space to showcase, who I believe, are modern fashion icons. With that, I wanted to dig a little deeper and deconstruct their covetable styles. I want my readers to not only have a point of reference of style from these icons, but to also make it their own. Nelson Style There’s no other person that I can think of who can jumpstart us than Solange Knowles. She is cool, confident, and willing to take risks and be playful in her clothing choices. Solange can pair basic items…
